The history of Meat food plant of Chisinau began in 1904. This was small city butchery with a smokehouse.
In the early 50's at Chisinau Meat food plant for the first time in Moldova have started to operate the shop of artificial cold production for the industrial purposes.
In 1955 and 1973 were made the technical reconstruction of plant's shops.
Since 1995 in the reconstruction of production were additionally invested more than 10 million US dollars.
In 1991 the staff of the meat-food plant has passed to rent working conditions.
On January 6th, 1995 the enterprise is transformed into Joint-stock company " Саrmez" with a charter capital of 41.6 million lei, where 48.4% of shares belonged to its employees.
In 1997 in Bruxelles JSC " Carmez " has won the tender of sausage production on new technologies.
In 1997 it has received the award for the implementation of the project of record-keeping and power resources economy.
October 1998 in Paris and October 1999 in Geneva - Golden medals for sausage items quality.
In 1999 was celebrated the 95-anniversary, nowadays Joint-stock company " Carmez " - the largest meat-processing enterprise of the Republic of Moldova and of the capital – Chisinau.
In 2000 for the first time in Moldova 's history the joint-stock company " Carmez " is awarded State Award on quality and competitiveness of production - III-rd degree Diploma.
In 2001 - 2005 became the winner of the State premium for quality and competitiveness - Diploma of I degree.
In 2001 and 2004 the serial production of the joint-stock company " Carmez " received the certificate of Russian State Standard ("Gosstandart"). The work on certification was run together with the Representative of Rostest-Moscow in the Republic of Moldova . In 2004 it will be celebrated the centenary. Meat-food plant of Chisinau has built the basis of the meat industry of our republic, and today the joint-stock company "Carmez" have achieved high results during such a difficult economical situation. The range of produced production was considerably extended according to buyers' preferences and constitutes over 200 names of sausage items, canned food, semi-finished items, fats, by-products and meat-bone flour, being an integral part of the nutrition diet for all kinds of cattle and birds. The technological process of production of sausage items and smoked products has changed completely as a result of the technical re-equipment of production. |
